Thornwood Art, in the west end of Glasgow, is a personal website that I use simply to show some of my work.
Although born and brought up in a small town by the Ochil Hills in central Scotland, I have now lived and worked in Glasgow most of my life. Art has gotten me through some difficult times in my life and is my go-to place to escape from the stresses of the office and urban living!
I primarily draw in pencil, with the occasional foray into other media. I love drawing animals and domestic pets - mainly dogs - partly because I love all their expressive faces and poses, but also because I get so many wonderful stories and descriptions of their pets from the owners! My own black cat Tez also features in some work - he would be offended if he was left out. All my work is 100% hand drawn, because I’m a technophobe when it comes to art!
